Heroes
In Marsaction, Heroes are the playable characters that you can deploy and control during gameplay. These characters have unique skills and abilities that can influence the outcome of a battle. Heroes are categorized into three types: Support, Tanks, and DPS. It's recommended to start your team with one Hero from each type. For example, you might choose Weiser as your DPS Hero, Kayla as your Support Hero, and Alloy Al as your Tank Hero.
Hero Types
| Tank Heroes serve as frontline defenders, having high defense and HP. They excel at absorbing damage for the team while ensuring their own survival. Their active skills range from supportive shields to area-of-effect damage attacks. | |
| DPS Heroes are the backline damage dealers. Despite their potent attack capabilities, they tend to be more vulnerable. They rely on tanks and supports for protection, enabling them to consistently inflict damage from a safe distance. Their active skills typically target multiple enemies simultaneously, maximizing their output. | |
| Support Heroes are the backbone of your team. They enhance other Heroes through stat boosts, healing, energy regeneration, and shielding. Their active skills primarily focus on healing, often accompanied by secondary effects such as speed or attack buffs. |

Hero Boosts
Each Hero comes with exclusive boosts that are a major benefit while you navigate combat on Mars. Make sure to take these boosts into account when you build your next team of Heroes. You can find each of your Heroes’ boosts in the Hero Tab.
Skill Coefficient Boost
This multiplier value determines the bonus output of your hero's skills and can affect shield value, total healing, or damage dealt. Skill Coefficient Boosts scale with your hero's level, unlocking greater bonuses as your Hero advances.
Strategy Attributes
Strategy Attributes grant you bonuses for March Related Boosts such as March size, Mecha Loads, Infantry Attack, and more. These attributes also scale with your hero's star and tier level, which means these values become bigger as you level up.
Scenario Combat Attributes
Scenario Combat Attributes are the bonus stats your Heroes receive while battling in Zone 31. These boosts are also influenced by your hero's star and tier level, offering more impactful boosts as you progress.

Hero Rarity
Heroes have different rarities, ranging from Rare, to Epic, to Legendary. The higher the rarity, the greater their strength and abilities. Upgrading Heroes of higher rarity will yield stronger benefits for your squad in battle! To advance your Heroes' stars and skill levels, you'll need enhancement pieces and skill codexes, which are obtained from warps, rewards, or missions.

Expanding Your Colony
Your Colony is where you build your legacy. The more powerful you become, the closer you'll be to reaching your goal of fully colonizing mars. But taking back the red planet won't be a cakewalk. You'll have to earn your place one piece at a time.
Clearing the Fog
To expand your colony, start by exploring the fog surrounding your base. Send your Heroes to explore the area and defeat any Swarms they encounter.
Combat Scenario Mode
While exploring, you'll enter Combat Scenario Mode, where you can control your Heroes' unique active skills. Check the Hero tab to understand what each skill does. Skills mentioning "Scenario Combat Attributes" are available in this mode.
Expansion Requirements
After clearing an area of fog and swarms, a hand icon with the text "Recapture this area" will appear. Press this icon to open a menu that shows whether you meet the expansion requirements or not. These requirements are often tied to specific command center levels and require resources for reclamation. Once you’ve met the requirements and reclaimed the area, you can use this new space to construct additional buildings and resource farms, accelerating your colony's progress.

Combat
In Marsaction, there are two types of combat: Player vs Player (PvP) and Player vs Environment (PvE).
- Player vs Player - Occurs in three scenarios: attacking other players, defending your colony, and competing for objectives on the Mars Map.
- Player vs Environment - Involves two forms: attacking swarms and rallying with your Alliance.
Both require using your March queue slots, which are activated when you send your Mechas to attack a location on the map.
