While you diligently work to help your colony thrive, there are Generals who will seek to cut you down and steal everything you’ve built! Familiarize yourself with Player vs Player (PvP) combat to stand strong against enemies, or to make a few of your own.

Preparing for Combat
It’s important to strategize and make sure your Colony is battle-ready! Below are various steps you can take to give yourself the advantage on the Battlefield. Remember, the most powerful weapon at your disposal is knowledge!
Scouting
Before launching an attack on another player in Marsaction: Infinite Ambition, scouting their colony is a crucial step.
To Scout, simply tap on an enemy target, then tap the “Scout” button. Scouting costs Gas, so make sure you Scout enemies wisely!
- Purpose of Scouting: Scouting allows you to gather essential information about the target colony. This includes details such as available resources, defending mechas, building levels, and more.
- Using a March Slot: Initiating a scout mission requires the use of a March Slot from your available slots. Ensure you plan your scouting missions accordingly, as each slot is a valuable resource in managing your strategic operations.
- Checking Scout Reports: After sending a scout to a colony, you can retrieve the gathered intelligence from your Mail → Reports. This report consolidates all the information obtained during the scouting mission, providing a clear overview of the enemy colony’s strength.
- Enhancing Scouting: Completing Detector research enhances your scouting capabilities by providing more detailed information. The more advanced your Detector research, the more thorough and accurate your scouting reports will be.
Heroes
Heroes can help your efforts in PvP Combat. Each Hero has different benefits, and some of them are useful when battling against other players. To see a hero’s benefits for PvP combat, visit your Hero page and review each available Hero’s Boost preview to choose the best Hero for the job.

Player vs Player Combat
Once you’ve identified which colony you want to attack, it’s time to send in your Mechas to deal their damage. Simply tap on the enemy's colony and choose either ATTACK or RALLY WAR.
Attack - This option allows you to individually attack a Colony. Choose the size of your force that you want to send and then watch the battle unfold.
Rally War - This option allows you to attack using a Rally, giving other members of your Alliance the chance to join in on the action. This is a great option if you want to attack a colony that’s a higher level than you.
Battle Reports
After the dust settles and the attack is complete, you will receive a battle report via mail. Here's a breakdown of the terminology used:
- Mecha Amount: The total number of mechas in your army.
- Wrecked: Mechas that are wrecked will be sent to the Nova Machinery for regeneration.
- Damaged: Damaged mechas are sent to the Mechanics Workshop for repair.
- Slightly Damaged: Mechas in this state cannot participate in formations but recover quickly upon returning to base.
- Personal Merit: Merits earned from destroying or damaging enemy mechas, or looting their resources in PvP battles. Merits can be exchanged for prizes in the Merit Shop, with a weekly limit on how many can be earned through this method.

Colony Protection
If your colony isn’t battle ready, there are some protective boosts you can use to temporarily prevent you from being attacked or scouted.
- Peace Shields: Protects your base from being attacked or scouted for a set time.
- Anti-Scouts: Protects your base from being scouted for a set time.
Peace Shield
While a Peace Shield is guaranteed to protect you from Attack, there are certain scenarios where you are unable to use a Peace Shield:
|
IMPORTANT: If you have a Peace Shield active, but take one of the above actions, your Peace Shield will instantly expire.

Mecha Overview
Mecha are the individual machines that make up your Army! Manufacture Mecha to bolster your defenses and increase your offensive prowess.
Mecha Factory
![]() | The Mecha Factory serves as your primary facility for army production. Higher-level factories boast greater manufacturing capacities, enhancing the overall security of your base. Additionally, different mecha types and races exhibit varying strengths and weaknesses in combat. |
Mecha Types
Regarding mecha types, there are four categories available for manufacture: Mobile, Infantry, Aircraft, and Vehicles. Aircraft are effective against Infantry, Infantry prevails over Mobile units, and Mobile units have the upper hand against Aircraft. All three categories collectively hold an advantage over Vehicles.
Mecha Type | Strength | Weakness |
Mobile | Aircraft & Vehicles | Infantry |
Infantry | Mobile & Vehicles | Aircraft |
Aircraft | Infantry & Vehicles | Mobile |
Vehicles | Resource Transportation | Mobile, Infantry, & Aircraft |
Races
In Marsaction, there are three distinct races: Human, Insectbot, and Nublian. Each race has advantages and disadvantages against the others.
Race Type | Strength | Weakness |
Nebulians | Insectbots | Humans |
Insectbots | Humans | Nebulians |
Humans | Nebulians | Insectbots |

Research and Buildings
Upgrading your Research and Buildings is one of the best ways to gain a competitive edge against other players in PvP Combat. The more Combat Research you’ve completed, the more powerful your colony will be. Some buildings also provide Boosts that apply directly to PvP Combat - for example, the armory will allow you to forge armor that increases your Mecha stats, and the Space Prison can provide extra combat boosts for capturing or executing another player’s Captain!

Space Prison
| Once you’ve constructed your Space Prison, you’ll be able to imprison and execute captured Captains in Marsaction: Infinite Ambition. Once you capture an enemy Captain by zeroing their Mecha Force in a solo or Rally attack as the leader, you can then execute them to receive combat boosts. | ![]() |
After executing a Captured Captain, you activate significant boosts to your mecha attack, mecha defense/life, and march speed. However, there are specific requirements to meet before execution:
- The enemy Captain must be at least level 35.
- The enemy's Command Center must be at least level 15.
- Your Defense Agency must be intact.
You have two options for executing a captured Captain:
- Option 1: Use the Execution Verdict to instantly kill them.
- Option 2: Wait until the free execution period expires, after which you can execute them for free.
It's crucial to execute the enemy Captain before the execution period ends; otherwise, they will escape from your imprisonment! Additionally, the higher the level of the enemy Captain, the greater the boosts you receive from their execution.
IMPORTANT: If you use any Peacetime Boosts, including Peace Shields or Anti-Scouts, all Captured Heroes will be released and return to their Home Colony.

Stay vigilant, General. Mars is an unforgiving place and you never know whether the other Colonies are on the brink of sending their forces to crush your legacy. Now that you’ve mastered PvP Combat, head over to the PvE Combat Guide to complete your training!
