Mars is a dangerous place, General. You never know what’s lurking around the corner. This guide will walk you through Player vs Environment (PvE) combat, and give you the information you need to secure your colony’s foothold on Mars.

Environmental Dangers

There are two primary environmental dangers that roam the martian landscape: Swarms and Swarm Nests. Both are dangerous and must be cleared for the sake of your colony’s progress.

Swarms

Martian threats can be found all over the Region Map. Similar to Resource tiles, they can be engaged with by your Heroes and Troops in battle!

Engaging Swarms

1. Tap on the Swarm you want to fight.

2. You’ll see a recommendation for the number and quality of Mecha needed to defeat the Swarm.

  • For example, a Level 3 Crawler might recommend 700 T1 Mecha, while a Level 4 Crawler might recommend 1000 T1 Mecha

3. Once you’ve chosen the Swarm to attack, you’ll be brought to a screen where you can select the Mechas you want to dispatch as well as the number of forces.

4. After Attacking a Swarm, you’ll receive a report in your mail located at the bottom right corner. This report will show you the rewards you’ve gained and the health status of your Mechas.

Keep in mind, the higher a Swarm’s level, the more difficult the battle will be. But, victory against high-level Swarms also comes with better rewards!

Swarm Nests

Containing a Giant Swarm, these locations on the map are perilous to take on alone. You must Rally this location alongside your Alliance to take them down! You can continue to attack a Swarm nest if you fail to defeat them. However, the Giant Swarm will recover immediately if it isn’t destroyed! Earn Military chests containing resources, time speed-ups, VIP points, union contracts (used to upgrade the assembly hall), and more.

Note: Military Chests are automatically stored in the Mars Archive. You must have the Mars Archive built to receive any Military Chests.

Rallying Against Swarms

  • Select the Target you want to Rally against.

  • Choose “Rally.”

  • Set the Rally time limit (this is the length of time other players in your Alliance have to join the Rally and send support).

  • Tap “Rally,” and watch the support from your Alliance flood in!

Once the Rally timer runs out, you and all your allies who sent support will march on the Swarm Nest to battle. Remember, these Nests won’t be easy to clear, but the rewards for victory will be worth the effort.

Zone 31

Humans have triumphed in exploring Zones 1-30 on Mars. Zone 31 stands as a unique region on Mars. Because of potent magnetic field reactions, communication equipment in this zone fails to transmit or receive signals. The Union dispatched teams to explore here earlier, but none have returned. Your mission is to explore Zone 31 and uncover the secrets it holds. To enter Zone 31, tap the Space Capsule and then select the Zone 31 icon.

Chapters

Each Chapter within Zone 31 contains several Stages, each with several unique incidents. You’ll need to be victorious in each Stage to complete the Chapter. Only upon Chapter completion will you be able to enter the next.

At the start of each Stage, you can choose 3 Heroes: 1 DPS, 1 Tank, and 1 Support Hero. It’s important to choose the Heroes whose skills will benefit you the most for the battle ahead! Make sure you look at the intel provided on the upcoming Swarms so you can strategize appropriately.

Some stages can be replayed, but others can only be challenged and completed once! Upon your first victory of a particular Stage, you will earn special First Clearance Prizes.

Stages

Numerous Stages await in Zone 31, each containing multiple incidents, challenges, or opportunities. Depending on what you choose, you will uncover your own unique path during the Stage.

As you progress through a stage, Team members injured in an incident will not recover until after the Stage is complete.

Strategy Tip: Check the Stage Progress bar to know how many more incidents your Team must face within a current stage. Depending on how many are left, it might be wise to take advantage of Team Healing opportunities when they appear!

After conquering all incidents in a current stage, you’ll gain bountiful supplies and the next stage will open automatically.

Prizes

You’ll get First Clearance Prizes after you’ve completed a Stage for the first time. While some Stages can be replayed for additional rewards, these will not award you with additional First Clearance Prizes. First Clearance Prizes can only be claimed once, upon your first Victory of the Battle.

Ranking

All Generals in the same Region will be ranked according to the Stages you clear. Work your way through Zone 31 to secure your place in the annals of Marsaction history! Where danger lurks, so does opportunity. Make sure your team is ready for whatever may unfold in Zone 31.

Autoplay

Autoplay can be enabled in Zone 31 by tapping the “Auto” button. This feature will automatically use your Heroes’ abilities when they reach full charge.

Web Tasks

Web Tasks allows you to find special Clues on the map to interact with. These locations are valuable and yield special rewards for clearing them. The Web Task’s Strength Level can be increased by defeating higher level Swarms on the Region Map. Increased Web Task strength comes with more valuable Task rewards.

Clues

Clues come in various types, each with their own unique tasks and rewards. Below are the types of clues you can encounter:

  • Recycling: Allows you to recruit Mecha to your Mecha Army.
